Get ready to hear a really great idea! 

Madison, Indiana, is a small town that is big on music.  This is mainly because the place is full of musicians. Not just musicians, mind you, but talented musicians!  You can stop along a number of venues downtown and hear sets ranging from hard rock to traditional Celtic tunes.  Jazz fits in there, too.  And there are regular Bluegrass sessions once a month at the fairgrounds, where Gospel is also likely to appear.   We are truly blessed to have such a grand variety of musicians here in Madison and this new CD, Madison “Bands” Together, gives over thirty of these wonderful groups the opportunity to be heard together – all in one room at the same time. 

This fabulous project brings together the talents of many dedicated musicians who truly appreciate one another’s style. All of the musicians involved in this project are professionals – they range from doctors, landscapers, business owners, as well as full-time musicians!  And the talent here represents all ages – from teens to more “mature” musicians.  Each person involved has proven that they have that special “something” that can’t be taught, the song in their soul that demands music in their life.

There is more to the story than talent, though.  The $20 you pay for the CD will not go to any of the musicians or other artists involved with the project.  The proceeds will all be divided between the local Hospice program and the Jefferson County (IN) United Way.  The music is given to us by each band. It is free. You paid for that round disk in a sleeve, not the music.  You can hear your favorite cut – for FREE – and support these local charities at the same time!
